About us
Synopsis
Mathieu, 19, leads a solitary life, divided between his work at the abattoir and superficial relationships. His daily life is turned upside down when his older sister Heidi, who left for the United States three years earlier, asks him to come and pick her up. This trip rekindles a family past marked by absence and resentment, putting their reunion to the test. The Mechanics of Borders is a road movie that examines the remnants of a fractured childhood and the quest to rebuild broken fraternal ties.
