Aïcha lives in a remote village in northern Tunisia with her husband, Brahim, and her adorable 8-year-old son, Adam. The family is devastated by the departure of their eldest sons, Mehdi and Amine, who have fled into the violent grip of war. When Mehdi unexpectedly returns with a mysterious woman, a destructive force emerges and threatens to consume the entire village. Aïsha is torn between her maternal love and her need for truth.
